Google Workspace is getting a major AI upgrade. A new feature in Gemini Canvas can now analyze any document or report and automatically generate a complete, professionally designed Google Slides presentation based on its content.
This tool is designed to save hours of manual labor. The AI intelligently parses your text, creating a structured presentation with appropriate titles, section breaks, and even relevant visuals, all formatted with a clean, modern theme.
This new functionality marks a significant expansion of Gemini’s capabilities. It’s moving from a writing assistant to a full-fledged productivity partner, capable of handling complex design and layout tasks across Google’s suite of apps.
The workflow is seamless. After the AI generates the presentation in Canvas, it can be exported directly to Google Slides. This allows users to easily refine the content, customize the design, or collaborate with team members.
The global rollout for this feature is already underway. It is available for both personal Google accounts and Workspace users, with Gemini Advanced (Pro) subscribers reportedly getting the first access. A wider rollout is expected soon.
